Additional Therapies

Manual Therapy
Manual therapy utilizes specific techniques to manipulate soft tissue in the body. It is a hands-on therapy that requires no devices or machines. Trained therapists apply pressure to the muscles and soft tissues in the body which helps to relax the muscles, increase circulation and reduce inflammation. Specific techniques are also used to mobilize joints in order to reduce joint paint and rectify joint mechanics. Manual therapy has been proven effective in the treatment of muscle spasms, muscle tension, back and neck pain, and joint pain.

Yogatherapy/Wata Flow
Yogatherapy is derived from the traditional practices of yoga. With the adaptation and application of specific yoga techniques, therapists can help individuals facing both physical and mental health challenges at any age or physical limitation, to manage or improve their condition. The therapy systematically uses specific breathing techniques in conjunction with yoga movements to strengthen and stabilize the muscular-skeletal system while simultaneously increasing muscle flexibility. The therapy also promotes deeper and more rhythmic breathing patterns, improves circulation, and aids in creating an emotional balance to further recruit the body’s natural recuperative abilities.

Wata Flow is a therapy that taps into the connection between the therapist, (the giver), and the patient, (the receiver). As the receiver floats on the water, listening and focusing on the breath, a feeling of trust is created that allows the person to relax and trust the giver. Once the patient has begun to surrender, physical, emotional and mental blockages can be solved and processed. The body can be moved in absence of gravity and the water inside the body can connect with the outside, relieving tension and anxiety.
